Every process system – from a dosing skid to a full chemical plant – needs reliable isolation points. Ball valves are the default choice for on/off duty because they open and close in a quarter turn, seal tightly and are easy to automate. OEMs and skid builders also value their compact size and ISO mounting pads.
Typical valve positions in a process system
- Equipment isolation – pumps, filters, heat exchangers: two-piece or flanged ball valves.
- Diverting between equipment: three-way ball valves.
- Automated sequences: pneumatic or motorized ball valves.
- Instrument isolation and sampling: mini and high-pressure ball valves.
- Vessel outlets: flush bottom ball valves.
Ball valves are for on/off, not throttling
Holding a standard ball valve partly open concentrates flow on the seat edge and erodes it. For control duty, use a characterised ball with a modulating actuator, or a control valve.
FAQs
Can OEMs order ball valves in batches?
Yes. We supply OEMs and skid builders with repeat batches built to a fixed specification.
Do you supply valves with actuators pre-mounted?
Yes, valve-actuator assemblies are mounted and tested together before dispatch.
