A motorized ball valve (also called an electric actuator ball valve) uses an electric motor and gearbox to rotate the ball. It needs only a power supply and control signal – no compressed air – making it ideal for remote locations, utility networks, HVAC and water systems.

On/off or modulating?
- On/off actuators drive fully open or fully closed, with limit switches stopping the motor at each end.
- Modulating actuators accept a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signal and position the valve in between, returning a position feedback signal. For accurate throttling, V-port or characterised balls are recommended.
Specifying the actuator
Please share: supply voltage (e.g. 230 V AC single-phase, 415 V AC three-phase, 24 V DC), control type, required operating time, enclosure needs (weatherproof or flameproof), and whether a manual override is required. We'll select an actuator with adequate torque margin for your valve and service.
