A pneumatic actuated ball valve uses compressed air to turn the ball through 90°. Pneumatic actuators are fast, simple, intrinsically safe in hazardous areas and suitable for high cycling – which is why they are the most popular choice for automating ball valves in process plants.
As a pneumatic actuator ball valve supplier in India, we supply complete assemblies – valve, actuator, mounting kit and accessories – tested together before dispatch.
Double acting vs spring return
- Double acting: air opens and air closes. The valve stays in its last position if air fails. Compact and economical.
- Spring return (single acting): air drives one way, springs drive back. On air or power failure the valve moves to a safe position – fail-close or fail-open.
Common accessories
- Solenoid valve (NAMUR mounted) to switch air from a PLC signal.
- Limit switch box for open/closed feedback.
- Air filter regulator to keep the air supply clean and at the correct pressure.
- Manual override where required.
